Sam's 3rd Birthday Party!

I wasn't planning on making a cake but Sam told me he wanted a green one with candles so here it is.  He didn't eat any but he loved helping me make it.

We played soccer with elephants (just like in the movie).

Sam went to his first real baseball game with Tallinn.

 Sam had a fantastic birthday!

The Leetle Boy Room

Thanks to Ashley for the glow frogs.  Sam requested that I stick them to his wall.

Window Watching Until You're Sick

Sam spent a good amount of time people watching this morning.  I asked him if he'd like to watch a show and he said, "no thanks, I'm just watching".   He sat at the window and waved hi to every bus, car, bird, dog, and person that walked by.  I'm really boring him these days.

Things got a little wild when "Mordu" the bear joined him and he began playing in the curtains.  Luckily he did not pull them off the wall like he has done more than once before.  However, Mordu did break a leg.  Sorry Dad.

No more pants and no more combed hair.  Doesn't take long for this to happen.

And then out of nowhere Sam made this serious face.

And then this face, which is when I drop the camera and run for a bowl.  He got a little sick.  Sometimes his tummy doesn't handle his bolus feeds very well.

put on this bandit hat

Bandit buddies.  Just like from "Fantastic Mr. Fox".  We don't talk about that movie enough.  We have two flag poles, one plastic sword, two drumsticks, two wooden sticks, one vacuum extension piece, a baseball bat, an oar, and a bazooka gun all sitting on our top shelf in our closet.  All objects have been confiscated from Samuel because he likes to use them as weapons.  He always seems to find a way to get one back.  I guess Sam's a bandit too.

The End of A Love Affair

For the last nine days of June we watched Macey while her owners vacationed in New York City.  Sam instantly fell in love with the dog and no one, not even a baby brother, can fill the missing void now that she is gone.  She has been gone for about one hour and I can't tell you the number of times I have heard Sam cry her name.  As of right now, Sam would rather have a puppy than a baby brother.  We wish we could give him both but the puppy will definitely have to come post medical school.

Farewell Macey.  You're a good dog.
